HAEUSLER accessories
at a glance

Upper support
The upper supporting device has the task of supporting the partially rounded sheet from the inside. This may be necessary for workpieces with relatively small wall thickness in relation to the bending diameter. The upper support is equipped as standard with a tiltable roller which can adapt to the angle of the workpiece, especially when cone bending.
Lateral support
The lateral support is used to support workpieces with relatively small wall thickness in relation to the diameter. Depending on the requirements, the lateral support is equipped with one or two support rollers. The required supporting force depends on the sheet dimension.
Cone bending device
The cone bending device enables cone bending of workpieces in the roll bending process. The cone bending device ensures that the workpiece is ideally positioned during the bending process.
Machine prepared for exchange roll(s)
This option allows the use of smaller top rolls to achieve correspondingly smaller bending diameters. Exchange rolls can be ordered in different diameters as an option.
Rolls exchange carriage
The roll changing carriage is used for convenient and fast changing of the various top rolls. Instead of pure crane manipulation, the top roll is pulled out of the bearing system or inserted into it by a trolley placed on the side rolls. This greatly simplifies the roller changing process.
Surface-hardened rolls
This option is useful if there is a frequent change between normal and stainless steel in production. During bending, there is always an exchange of material between rollers and workpiece. This is problematic when changing from normal to stainless steel, as these normal steel particles lead to corrosion in stainless steel. Due to the hardened roll surface, the indentation of plate material is greatly reduced and cleaning of the rolls is simplified.
Enlarged roll diameters
In order to compensate for the deflection of the rolls during bending, a crowning is applied to the lower and upper rolls. This can lead to unwanted deformations, especially with thin-walled workpieces. By increasing the diameter of the lower and upper roll, the crowning can be reduced and the range of application of the machine in the lower sheet thickness range can be extended.
Increased rotation speed of the rolls
The cycle times, especially when calibrating or bending large diameters, are influenced by the speed of rotation of the rolls and not, as in other bending operations, by the level of installed torque. Therefore HAEUSLER offers an optional increase of the rotation speed to 8 m/min (on EVO machines this option is included as standard).
Air-Oil Cooler
The air-oil cooler replaces the standard water cooling system and provides cooling of the hydraulic oil in the hydraulic unit without the use of cooling water. This option is only practical at ambient temperatures <40°C. (For EVO machines this option is included in the standard equipment).
Cold water setter (Chiller)
For ambient temperatures >40°C the standard air oil cooler is no longer usable. In these cases a chiller is used to cool the hydraulic oil. A great deal of cooling water can be saved due to the closed cooling circuit.
Gas pressure accumulator for workpiece calibration
During calibration, the workpiece rotates in the bending machine with the rollers set, and the weld seam is also traversed. The gas pressure accumulator ensures that the resulting force peaks are eliminated and thus protects the roll bearings against overload.
Machine preparation for hot bending
In order to be able to process the considerably thicker sheets during hot bending, the machine’s throughput is increased considerably. This requires larger machine stands and cylinders with more stroke. In addition, the thermal radiation of a red-hot plate necessitates additional modifications to the machine to ensure trouble-free operation under these extreme conditions.
Burner for preheating the rolls
During hot bending, the workpieces lose heat very quickly through contact with the cooler rolls. The rolls can be preheated by an arrangement of gas burners, thus reducing heat loss.
Infeed table with optional sheet alignment device
The infeed table is used for safe and efficient feeding of the workpiece into the bending machine. The workpiece is automatically centred by an optional sheet centring unit. The sheet alignment device can consist of several centering units which are integrated into the infeed table.
Workpiece manipulator I
HAEUSLER offers special solutions for the serial production of conical workpieces which considerably simplify and accelerate the production processes. These include the workpiece manipulator I. The sheet metal is brought into position and held in place by independently adjustable positioning rollers. The WM-I is mounted directly on the infeed table and can therefore only be ordered in combination with it.
Workpiece manipulator II and III
The workpiece manipulators II and III are mounted on special lateral supports. During bending of normal cylinders WM-II and WM-III take over the function of normal lateral supports. During cone bending, they allow continuous guidance of the workpieces, thus enabling faster and more precise work. This option replaces the lateral support option.
Roundness measuring device
The roundness measuring system is used for efficient and highly precise determination of the roundness of workpieces. For this purpose, two industrial lasers are used to continuously scan the inner surface of the workpiece (or the outer surface for small diameters). This allows the roundness to be graphically displayed over 360° and can also be targeted for correction.
Axial alignment unit
By means of a hydraulically operated lateral alignment unit, which is located near the side roll, a lateral axial offset of the workpiece ends before tack welding in the machine can be eliminated.
Radial alignment unit
Hydraulic clamping device, which corrects a possible radial offset of the workpiece ends with the help of a cylinder. For easy handling the clamping device is mounted on a slewing crane, which is fixed on the drive stand of the bending machine.
Plate stop
For exact positioning of the sheet metal, when bending cylindrical parts, hydraulically adjustable.
CNC control
The upgrade to CNC functions increases the production flexibility and reliability of the machine. The CNC function enables the generation and storage of work programs.
BENDtronic
HAEUSLER’s revolutionary BENDtronic® enables anyone to control not only the movements of the machine but also the bending result itself. The software is graphically supported and allows bending in one or more passes. It can also be used for any type of product shape such as cylinders and tubes, ovals, tanks or other more complex geometries up to S-shaped workpieces. The BENDtronic® contains various auxiliary tools which provide the operator with optimum support during bending (on EVO machines this option is included as standard).
